Mentor  and Industry Professional

Meldra Guza is a UK based Professional Development Mentor, a Senior Lecturer at undergraduate and postgraduate level, the Author of Quadrilateral Code and Director of The SongLab Ltd. 

 

Innovative leader, educator and creative who is committed to professionalism in teaching and learning, strategic management and leadership with a determination to make a positive impact on the development of emerging professionals.

Specialising in business and entrepreneurship with a focus on both personal and professional development mentoring, Meldra’s work also extends to the creative industries and in particular the music industry. 

 

Meldra has developed the Quadrilateral Code- current, relevant, timeless framework enabling cohesive, non-fragmented approach to self-development and maximisation of time and potential.

Being an active Fellow of Chartered Managers Institute and Fellow of Higher Education Academy further highlights Meldra’s professional values and their transferability to Corporate, Creative, Educational as well as community outreach environments.

LIVE PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE

  • Over 500 live performances in Europe, North America and North Africa

  • Performance experience in a capella, solo, duo, with violinist, 3 piece band, 4 piece band setting, with symphonic orchestra, with opera choir as the main artist, session musician, on radio, television.

  • Performed at the new “Virgin” race care company launch events in London; at the Wembley Stadium with Cee Lo Green in front of 75000 people; session musician on TV shows such as Good Morning Britain to name a few

  • Featured as strong women leader by Forbes Latvia Magazine in 2022.

  • Organised over 200 press interviews including FHM and Cosmopolitan (including front cover modelling for 17 major magazines), over 50 live radio and TV interviews, performances

  • Organised press conferences for new music product launches

  • Organised special events to promote charity work and its importance in today’s society.

  • Guest Masterclasses on Music Business topics held in Denmark, USA, Latvia, UK with organisations like TG Publishing, Riga Live Music Export, Musicians Union in the UK to name a few.

  • Member of judge panel for the song entries of the international song competition Junior Eurovision organised by Latvian National Television

  • Has been awarded with the Artist with significant achievement acknowledgement by The American Federation of Musicians

 

STUDIO EXPERIENCE

  • Worked on 3 released studio solo/duo albums

  • Album “Meldra” gained the Nomination “Best Pop Album of the year” in Latvian national Music Awards
